Mummy Mondays – This playcentre has an awesome pirate ship ride!

Trekking across town to attend my nephew’s 1st birthday, it was our first time at Lollipop’s and we loved it! Not being familiar, we found it a bit hard to find but once we found out it was on Level 3 next to all the cinemas and games, we were set!

The play centre is well laid out with a separate area for toddlers so they don’t get knocked over by the older kids and there is an awesome foam ball room with canons and vacuums that suck up the balls to different sections ready to launch.
There’s even an interactive pirate ship ride for both kids and their parents inside the venue! We weren’t able to take any photos as I had to console Master D who started crying as soon as the ride began! He made it through the whole thing and proudly exclaimed “Daniel riding on the pirate ship” as we walked off the ride down the steps. Scared but brave at the same time! Haha classic! #toddlerantics

The centre is clean and well maintained and the staff were very attentive, especially amongst all the birthday excitement. The staff were loud and clear when giving instructions and made sure all the kids had their drinks topped up and a piece of the spectacular birthday cake made by Zelicious.

Both the kids and adults were fed with sandwiches, fruits and hot food and you if you’re after something a little more special you can also order some desserts from the window display.

I think we’ve found another new place to catch up with our mummy friends! 🙂

Chasing Father’s Day lunch

Father’s Day lunch at TGIF
Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre

What a Sunday adventure! We got the address mixed up and went to the wrong TGIF – Doncaster instead of Forest Hill Chase shopping centre. But all was good in the end and D got to have a meat-filled Father’s Day lunch with his YeYe (Chinese for grandfather!) and his uncles, aunty and cousin Will at TGIFriday’s. Thank goodness for the online menu – I looked it up on the drive there and sent a message to my sister-in-law so she was able to order for us!

A family friendly atmosphere with high chairs and change facilities for the babies and toddlers. Also situated next to the games and movies so D was free to run around afterwards. The staff were friendly and happily refilled our lemon, lime bitters and made sure we were happy with our meals. Now I just have to eat right for the rest of the week and get  my running shoes on!

Parmesan Meatballs – Three breaded meatballs smothered in marinara, melted Monterey Jack, Parmesan & Romano. Topped with fresh tomato-basil bruschetta
Jack Daniels Mixed Grill – Crispy Shrimp, Half-Rack of Ribs, Chicken
Baby Back Ribs – Slow-cooked baby back pork ribs basted in Tennessee BBQ sauce, then fire-grilled. Served with seasoned fries and ginger-lime slaw
