Trams, Christmas trees, coffee and Melbourne’s famous laneways. A wedding at the Grand Hyatt Hotel prompted us to book a room and have an impromptu staycation in the most liveable city in the world.
With so many merry things to see and do (most of them free! – see my previous blog post here), Daniel and Lola’s (grandma in Filipino) outfits of the day were comfy and chic. A waterproof jacket just in case it started raining – Melbourne often experiences 4 seasons in a day, and a spare pair of flats for Lola to change in to after walking for hours takes a toll on her feet.
Daniel absolutely loves catching trains and trams!

Daniel – Jacket (not sure where this is from!), checkered shirt (H&M), mustard jeans (Target), boots (Zara). Lola – sunnies (Tiffany & Co), dress (TopShop), bag (Gucci), bracelets (Tiffany & Co and Pandora) Grandma duties 🙂
Mum exploring Degraves street, Melbourne city.
Zara jumper, TopMan jeans and boots, H&M scarf. Mummy and son joining in on the action 😛 Baby wears Bonds jacket and bottoms, Converse booties, Carter’s striped onesie, H&M cardigan, Cotton On singlet, Supre jeans.
A good fit goes a long way. I love how these jeans are slim cut without looking like jeggings ;P and the fitted knit paired with a scarf gives off a nice put-together look. Comfy and smart casual.
What are your favourite brands of jeans?
Zara, jacket, H&M scarf, Zara knit, H&M dropcrotch pants, Michael Kors watch, thrifted sunnies
For the transition from summer to autumn and to help keep up with the infamous Melbourne weather, a scarf and drape jacket does the trick. Comfortable, unassuming and put together. Love this look that the better half wore last weekend when the sun shone, the rain fell and the wind blew all in one day.
